  • The distance between wheel stops must be at least 0.91m apart.
  • Position wheel stops so that they do not extend between the front end of the vehicle.
  • Place wheel stops such that when the parked vehicle faces the sidewalk, the front bumper does not extend over the sidewalk.
  • Maintain the wheel stops in good condition.
  • Wheel stops need to be secured to ensure they are not easily moved.
  • Wheel stops should not be longer than 2 yards.
  • You should always place wheel stops in the center of parking lots.

In conclusion, wheel stops are essential elements in all parking lots. They are generally easy to install. Every parking facilities should provide any of the types of wheel stops mentioned above, considering their benefits.
